Public Domain Cinema
A future media branch for discovering, watching and downloading films only after the rights status of each work, edition, soundtrack and source file has been checked.
What it could become
A clean catalogue with searchable film information, embedded or hosted playback where lawful, source attribution, download links, subtitles where rights permit, and clear notes explaining why a title is believed to be in the public domain.
Rights before volume
Age alone is not enough. Before publication, each title will need a provenance record covering the work, the specific copy or restoration, music, translation/subtitles, images and the jurisdiction in which the public-domain claim is being made.
Business model later
The media branch may eventually use contextual advertising, sponsorship or related products. Monetisation will be activated only after rights, consent and platform requirements are ready.
