How to calculate speed, distance or time

Pick what you want to calculate, then enter two positive numbers. All examples use kilometres and hours.

  1. Speed: Value A = distance in km; Value B = time in hours. Example: 150 km ÷ 2 h = 75 km/h.
  2. Distance: Value A = speed in km/h; Value B = time in hours. Example: 75 km/h × 2 h = 150 km.
  3. Time: Value A = distance in km; Value B = speed in km/h. Example: 150 km ÷ 75 km/h = 2 hours.

The calculation assumes a constant average speed. Stops, traffic and acceleration change real journey times.
