Practical guidance
How to count business days between two dates
Use this weekday calculator to plan simple deadlines. It counts Monday through Friday and separately reports calendar days and weekends.
- Select the start and end dates, then choose whether to include both endpoints. The checkbox is on by default.
- For example, Thursday 1 October to Monday 5 October 2026 has 5 calendar days: 3 business days and 2 weekend days when both endpoints are included.
- If you untick Include both end dates, the starting Thursday is excluded, leaving 2 business days in that example.
Public holidays, country-specific workweeks and business closures are not considered; adjust results manually if deadlines depend on them.
